Having a great passion for design and thanks to the new technology called "3d printing" I am able to convert my ideas into tangible forms. As a designer I feel need to provide service to people( through my designs) and at same time to make them part of my design as well.
So I make designs and add movement to them. Now it depends upon you (people) how to wear it!
The basic concept is to wear one piece in varying styles and emote fun with fashion.
How it is made- I start by designing on CAD programs (mainly Rhino), 3d designing helps me to see the end result so there is very less room for error. Once i am happy with my design I copy it 3-5 times & send the stl file for 3d printing in NYLON or ALUMIDE . So i get 5 copies of one design/motif in tangible forms. After application of color, I join the copies (layers) through sterling silver tubes. This joining process is called riveting. It allows each layer to rotate 360 degrees. If I want tight rotation, I rivet tightly (as in pendants) and if I want loose rotation I create a loose rivet (as in brooches). All rivets are handmade.
So you can move each layer and create your own designs!
More number of layers means More different combinations you can make-: For example, in a five layer pendant, you can almost make 22 different designs.

You decide how you want to wear!
My huge inspiration is ART DECO, I am amazed how a simple geometric form can morph into so many different designs when moved. I also do floral patterns, flowers being most popuplar among women.
We sell your product in "seven pages" in Sassafras, and people are always impressed when we tell them of the process involved in making your jewelry. It's great to be able to provide a customer with the story behind the pieces we sell.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to have your very unique jewelry in our store.
